Default merge two excel tables to Mysql with Kettle

    Hello, I'm new in pentaho. I have 2 excel tables : table1(A, B, C, D) and table2(A, B, E, F).
I want to merge these two tables using Keetle to have as a result one MySql table3(A, B, D) for exemple.
Can you tell me how can I do this please ?
    Regards.

You can do a "Merge Join" to produce (A,B,C,D,E,F) from the two Excel tables, but since you only want to use (A,B,D) from table1, why would you want to do that?
So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Yes you're right marabu. Thanks for your reply.
In general, what i want to do is : make a union of two excel tables using Keetle and export the result in Mysql format.
    I hope i was clear.
    Thanks in advance.

You can read both Excel files in parallel.
You will have to use a Select values step with one of the Excel Input steps to adjust the metadata to be the same as the other one.
Then you can unite the two rowsets by simply attaching them both to the same target step.
Provide sample sheets if you need more help.
So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Open a new transformation, not a new job!
Enter "excel" as filter string or simply expand the Input category.
"Microsoft Excel Input" should be right there.
So long, and thanks for all the fish.

    Hello Marabu,

I don't find it in the input category.
You can see it in the attached screenshot.

    You can read that? Respect!

I assume Input is expanded and shows four steps.
There should be around 36 standard steps in that category.
And your number of categories is way higher than the 20 I see on my out-of-the-box installation.
Did you install plugins, before you even learned to use the basic installation?
Your installation seems to be thoroughly broken.
Try a fresh install, perhaps under a different user, so you can compare.
So long, and thanks for all the fish.
