    Default Release date for 5.0?

Hi! I've saw that pentaho community BI 5.0 will be released soon, but I can't find anywhere the release date.

Does anybody know when will it be released?

    Thanks!

This month at some point (hopefully). If you examine the dev tracker you'll see there are still quite a few issues which are blocking the release. Community also gets released after Enterprise, though frankly in a release this big I'd release Community first, let the the non-paying savants discover the bugs, correct them, then release Enterprise to the paying customers.

I've had this debate with some of the Pentaho staff a few times.
Basically, it comes down to this:
They want to limit the number of binary CE releases.
CE is always available as source.

So, 5.0CE-Prerelease is available now (but not recommended for real use due to the blocker bugs you note) if you compile it yourself.
After the blocker bugs are sorted out, 5.0EE will go out, and will likely have a number of quick step releases (5.0.1, etc) and then a stable CE will be released. While EE will continue to get further "point" releases (eg. 5.0.6), CE will not get *COMPILED* releases, but you are always welcome to compile from source -- meaning that when EE is at 5.0.6, if CE is still only released binary at 5.0.1, you *CAN* compile 5.0.6 yourself.
