    Default Where is located the File-Based Audit Logging in pentaho ?

    Hi,
    I want to use the File-based audit logging in pentaho.
    My pentahoObjects.spring.xml is already configured with
    <bean id="IAuditEntry" class="org.pentaho.platform.engine.services.audit.AuditFileEntry"
    scope="singleton" />

    In which directory the audit file is located ?

    regards
    Cygne

    Hi,

    The default configuration about the File-based in Pentaho 4.8 is .AuditFileEntry

    If you want to see the audit on a file you only have to change in /opt/pentaho/biserver-ce/tomcat/webapps/pentaho/WEB-INF/classes the archive log4j.xml

    <category name="org.pentaho">
    <priority value="WARN"/>
    </category>

    to

    <category name="org.pentaho">
    <priority value="INFO"/>
    </category>

    And you can see on the pentaho.log archive the audit of the reports.

    If you want to save this on a new file you have to create a appender-ref

    Hi ricardod,
    thanks for the info.
    I set priority value= INFO and now I see INFO logging in the pentaho.log

    About user access, I can see it in the localhost_access_log ifle right ? And I only see client ip adress, not client username. Right ?
    regards
    C
