Default Why won't cmd exit after execution of batch file?

    Hey all

    Hope your well,
I am looking for some help
Aim – Closing CMD prompt down once the batch is executed

Currently when the following batch is run, it opens up a CMD prompt, and although the batch executes, the CMD still remains open, Is there any possibility that this can be closed down?

    SET PATH="C:\Pentaho\";%Path%;
@echo New job started via batch execution %date%
@echo New job started via batch execution %date%
    C:
    cd C:\
    cd "C:/Pentaho_Jobs/ExtractClientlineCase"
    start kitchen.bat -file="C:\Pentaho_Jobs\ExtractClientlineCase\ExtractClientlineCase.kjb"
    rem >> "C:/Pentaho_Jobs/ExtractClientlineCase\log.txt"

Really looking forward to your help

    Regards
    D

    Hi,

this depends on how you invoke the batch script.

If you do a cmd /c start_kitchen.bat it should close the window.
Look at cmd /? to get more options.

    Regards
