    Default KettleTransofrmation in pentaho CDE

    Hi..

    1. Can we directly use excel or csv as data sources in pentaho CDE ?
    2. How can I use kettle transoformation for an excel sheet to create a dashboard charts ?

I have designed the below job in kettle by taking an excel sheet.
    Name: ktrfile.png
Views: 396
Size: 9.3 KB

my .ktr file is giving two out puts when I run in debug mode
    1) Group By
    2) Group By2

I've not used any SQL File output for this(have to learn it)

Now can I use the above .ktr in CDE dash board ?

I'm not using any database connection in the .ktr... I am uploading this .ktr file to my folder(where I am developing my dashboards).. and given the location of this file at kettle Transofrmation file..

I'm unable to see the output of the .ktr file using .cda when I select query id ..

Am I going in right way or Missing some thing ?

I'm having some problems here with KTR queries in 5CE... while an old dashboard is working nicely, a new one is giving me this error when I open the preview window...
    Code:
Dez 19, 2013 10:15:42 AM com.sun.jersey.spi.container.servlet.WebComponent filterFormParametersWARNING: A servlet request, to the URI http://<server>:8080/pentaho/plugin/cda/api/listQueries?path=%2Fhome%2FPainel_Comite%2Fpaineis_template.cda, contains form parameters in the request body but the request body has been consumed by the servlet or a servlet filter accessing the request parameters. Only resource methods using @FormParam will work as expected. Resource methods consuming the request body by other means will not work as expected.

that's most likely unrelated to your issue. What happens when you run the query standalone (on the cda viewer) ?

    Solved this issue..

    Thank you Pedro

Now, I need to have a look into the parameters passing on the same . i.e., passing parameters from Kettle transformation to Pentaho CDE.

If any one looking for the same this small post may help you ...
