Default java net sockettimeoutexception read timed out

    HI All
I have created 2 schedule tasks which execute certain Bat Jobs. These tasks run at different times of the day.
I am having issues with the first schedule of the day; the schedule opens up the CMD tries and executes the bat job. However i am getting the following error message “java net sockettimeoutexception read timed out”
If i re-schedule the task, for a couple of minutes later the job runs successfully.
    First Task
    Task Name : ExtractClientlineCase
    Scheduled at : 10.44
Outcome fails: java net sockettimeoutexception read timed out
    My Bat Job which
    SET PATH="C:\Pentaho\";%Path%;
@echo New job started via batch execution %date%
@echo New job started via batch execution %date%
    C:
    cd C:\
    cd "C:/Pentaho_Jobs/ExtractClientlineCase"
    kitchen.bat -file="C:\Pentaho_Jobs\ExtractClientlineCase\ExtractClientlineCase.kjb"
    rem >> "C:/Pentaho_Jobs/ExtractClientlineCase\log.txt"

    Second Task
    Task Name : LCS Pipeline
    Scheduled at :10.48
    Outcome : Successful

    Really hoping you can help

If you re-schedule the task at a later time and it works, why don't you change the time the job starts?
Could it be that at that time there are other processes running on that DB/Network causing some timeout?

Can I take a wild guess in the dark, since you didn't tell us much about your environment, which version of PDI you are using, etc...

    You're using MySQL aren't you?
