Separate Pan from Spoon to execute transformations independently

Hi,

I just got started with Pentaho a couple of days back, so trying to learn.

The pan.bat included in DI package can be used to execute ktr file from command line. I want to know if Pan is available as a separate package, if not, can we separate it by moving some required files? I mean once the ktr is created and Spoon is not needed anymore, can ktr files be executed without the complete package?
