Default Unable to connect to HDFS from Spoon

    Hi,
I am using Pentaho DI 5.0.4 with CDH50 Beta. When I try to create a Sqoop import job from Spoon (DI GUI) from my local Windows 7 machine, it fails when specifying target HDFS directory with the following message:

Unable to connect to HDFS server

I am able to connect to the HDFS server via putty. The namenode port is 8020 which is verified.

I am stuck due to this error. I have also added cdh50beta shim in the plugins folder under hadoop configurations and accordintly updated the active.hadoop.configuration property in plugin.properties file.

I am not sure what am I doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Niti

I think we just fixed an issue with CDH50 and Sqoop, you might want to get a new shim from CI to test again. (YMMV)
