Default Failed to find GUID when Transfer member attribute LDAP ouput

    Hi All,

I have pentaho step for transfer LDAP user, group, OU to from one domain to another domain. in this case i'm using LDAP input and LDAP output.

I split one by one of these task, i create one transformation for ou, another for group, and etc.

Actually i can transfer OU, group, and user succesfully. But i don;t successfully to get "member" attribute when transferring group, whereas group have contains "member" attribute for explains any user which be member of that group.

i got this error message like bellow on ldap output.

    Code:
    Exception :

    Default

Your target LDAP service complains about an invalid DN syntax.
Seems like you try to use the semicolon separated values returned from LDAP Input as a distinguished name.
    Check your LDAP Output configuration.
So long, and thanks for all the fish.

There isn't much more to say about this.
You configured an attribute GUID that is unknown to the target service.
Do you mean objectGUID by any chance?

I just add attribute "member" into LDAP output attribute. if i remove the attribute "member" transformation working well, but i need that attribute

specify of the guid like bellow L

Caused by: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: [LDAP: error code 32 - Failed to find GUID for CN=hrdra01,OU=EPM-HRD,OU=EPM-Center,OU=Resources,dc=ensev,dc=org]; remaining name 'CN=Inet-HRD,OU=EPM-Center,OU=Resources,dc=ensev,dc=org'

    Hi Marabu,

I know why the GUID is not found for that CN

Because that CN (user) is not exist. so that when transfer member which contains that user will appear GUID not found message.

But why someusers is transfer successfully and the others is not, whereas when i transfered user there is no log which said that someusers are failed.

I attached my transformation for transfer userCopyUserfromMSAd.ktr

member is no attribute of a user - it is an attribute of a group!

Yes, it's right if member is attribute of group, not user.

    I've fix it.

Now i have different error log when transfer member attribute of each group, bellow

    Code:
    : Error updating entry with dn = [CN=Domain Guests,CN=Users,dc=ensev,dc=org]!
    2014/05/09 12:40:07 - LDAP Output.0 - ERROR (version 4.2.1-stable, build 15952 from 2011-10-25 15.27.10 by buildguy) : [LDAP: error code 68 - 00002071: samldb: member CN=Guest,CN=Users,DC=ensev,DC=org already set via primaryGroupID 514]

I don't know what the meaning of that message ?

What should i do to solve that ?

Actually, you don't have a Kettle problem.
Are you sure you ask in the right forum?
So long, and thanks for all the fish.
