    Default Intermittent PDI execution (PDI-11075) work around ?

    Greetings.

    I have an hourly scheduled ETL job (cron) that is running intermittently. Tied the error back to this known issue and while a fix is in the works, any thoughts on how to 'keep retrying' the ETL job until it works?

    That is, I've noticed when I manually execute the job (kitchen), I hit this intermittent error but eventually, it does work. So, I suppose, now that I've written this out it may be more of a '/bin/bash error handling' question, but perhaps someone here has an idea/lead.

    Grazie.

    Perhaps check the exit code of kitchen.
    If non-zero, try again.

    UPDATE - since implementing a new bash (below) my job has run every hour! Thank you, gutlez!

    Code:
    #!/bin/bash
     n=0
       until [ $n -ge 5 ]
       do
          sh /opt/pentaho/data-integration/kitchen.sh -rep=myrepo -dir=/mydir -job=myjob -user=myuser -pass=mypass
          [ $? -eq 0 ] && break
          n=$[$n+1]
          sleep 5
       done
