How to integrate Google Visualization API and CDE together without using xaction ?

Hello I try to research how to use Google chart in CDE and found that it can be done in Pentaho Design Studio from this link

But when I try to download Pentaho Design Studio, the available versions do not suit current BI Platform version

Xaction seem become old technology and already obsolete.

Are there other ways to integrate them ? Could you show me some example ?

The correct way to do want you want would be to build a CDE component, in order to get lifecycle management, but the following might also work:

1. Use the QueryComponent to put the data you want to show into a parameter.
2. Add a Javascript resource to CDE with the Google code. In there you will need to access the query data, use:

var mydata = Dashboards.getParameterByName('{$p:myParameter}')

I tried to use QueryComponent and add a Javascript resource to CDE with the Google code in html but it does not work.

Where should I add javascript ?
- Add resource at Layout Structure
- JavaScript function
- Pre Execution at QueryComponent
- Post Execution at QueryComponent

Finally I made it!! I did it in PostExecute of QueryComponent.

I didn't use "var mydata = Dashboards.getParameterByName('{$p:myParameter}')"

I just use a parameter that I name in Result Var.

I face the same issue. I want to use a treemap google chart into cde. But I still can't find a way to do that.
