    Default Data model of log tables

    Hello,
    I would like to know how can i join the log tables.
    I think :
    JOB.JOBNAME --> JOB_ENTRY.TRANSNAME
    JOB_ENTRY.STEPNAME --> TRANSFO.TRANSNAME
    TRANSFORMATION.TRANSNAME --> STEP.TRANSNAME

    But, in this case, I can join only the job with transformations and steps. If I want only a specific job which is the right key?
    Many thanks for help.

    Hi,

    Look for the logging channel. That will help you to join with the other table, you can refer it as a bridge table.
    For detailed information go to this link http://forums.pentaho.com/showthread...logging-tables

    Thanks,

    Hello Malay,
    Thanks for your answer, but I'm able to join only the "Job channels" table and "Job" table by channelId and RootChannelId.
    I can join "Job Entry" table with "Job" by TransName-JobName.
    I see always "ChannelId" field, but it doesn't have good values to join with other tables.
    And I'm not able to join JOBS with TRANSFORMATIONS.
    Which is the field?
    Thanks
    Francesco

    Hi Fcavalli,

    Use the below query and change the table name accordingly.

    select LJL.jobname,ltl.TRANSNAME from LOG_TRANS_LEVEL ltl
    join LOG_CHANNEL LC on LC.CHANNEL_ID=ltl.CHANNEL_ID
    join LOG_JOB_LEVEL LJL on LJL.CHANNEL_ID=LC.PARENT_CHANNEL_ID

    Thanks,
    Malay
