Question Get a file with FTP - Hangs when destination is a NAS path

    Hi,

I am using Kettle 5.3. When I try to download a file from FTP to a network access share path. The job hangs. But when I try to download it to a local drive in the same machine, it works fine.

But in 4.x both the scenarios work fine. Is it a known bug. Kindly clarify.

    Regards,
    Subramanian S.

Are you talking about a UNC (Windows Network //server/share ) share?

UNC locations are not fully supported in Pentaho, and will have unstable results. Map the UNC to a drive letter and things should work better.
