Lightbulb Hide .cda file Pentaho 5.3

    Hi!

I've read in some posts on this forum that tell how to make not editable the cda file but I would want hide them.
I've to hide them one by one or there is the possibility to hide them by default?

    Thanks

browse files -> select the file you want to hide -> properties -> mark hidden

To view hidden files: View -> Mark view hidden files

There is no way I think

I was hoping there was a way to do this automatically without having to do it for each file that I add.

IN version 4.8 you could change the plugin.xml ..\pentaho-solutions\system\cda. Is that not working anymore in the 5.3 version? I didn't try it in the 5.3 version

Just throwing out another solution, you can call out to the REST API in 5.X servers to modify files.

    and

Easy tutorial for getting up and going with the REST API.

We use some tricks like using CDA, to run a PDI ktr file, so we can bypass authentication on the platform and let it run REST calls. Authentication is slow on the platform, so this is a huge optimization. Unfortunately I have not had hobby time to get it into IvySE, but it explains the 10x speed enhancement versus the new Community Text Editor tool.
