Unhappy How to set field in previous step as JASON Output File Name?

    Hi all.

    I have this transformation:

Name: Screen Shot 2015-06-05 at 10.35.22.jpg
Views: 144
Size: 12.3 KB

And I want this field called FullPath2Jason in the step Concat Fields...

Name: Screen Shot 2015-06-05 at 10.35.32.jpg
Views: 128
Size: 20.3 KB

To be used as the Json Output File Name... something like this...

Name: Screen Shot 2015-06-05 at 10.37.02.jpg
Views: 122
Size: 23.4 KB

As I don't see any option like "Use field as file name" I don't know how to make it work.

Could somebody help me to make this work?

    Thanks in advance!

This step doesn't have that option.
    Either:
    - create the filename in a previous transformation, and save the name in a variable. Then you can use the variable with this notation ${variable_name}
    or
    - (I didn't try this option, but I think it could work), send the json structure to a field (Output value) instead of a file, and then save that field in a regular file using a Text file output step. This step will allow you to use a field as filename.

Other great places to prepare a single target filename are the JavaScript job entry or the job starter script.
So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Hi Maria. Your first suggestion was what I needed to do to make this happen. Thank you for your help!
