Question CDC (Community Distributed Cache) hanging / waiting on BA Server 5.4.0.0-EE

Just installed CDC from the Marketplace, copied the required jars to WEB-INF/lib as instructed. Restarted the server and now see threads hanging. The server fails to start up completely.

    Any ideas?

    See attached jstack output.

    Thanks,

Okay. Lesson learned. These days you have to start a hazelcast node and have it waiting, then start the server. The previous behavior was if no remote node was found, the server would continue to start. Now it just halts. CDC works.

uhh and that behavior should still hold. If no remote node is found, CDC starts its own Hazelcast cluster. I think you might be hitting an issue we've had forever with Hazelcast related to network configurations.

Basically your server is hanging when it tries to start an hazelcast node. And that usually happens if running a VM, multiple network addresses...

It never let the server start outside of Debug being set to false. It never found other hazelcast nodes. It did not start it's own. The box has a single IP address, it is running within a VM. Is there anything I can try to set manually?
