Thread: What's the different between Date and Timestamp types when used in Text File Input?

Question What's the different between Date and Timestamp types when used in Text File Input?

I understand the difference between Date and Timestamp in some databases (e.g. mysql handles timezones differently for each).

But when using a Text File Input, there's no DB involved, what exactly are the semantics of one versus the other?

you can differentiate for date if you want only like yyyy/MM/dd and Time stamp generally it will display with time yyyy/MM/dd HH:mm:ss.SSS

If you haven't mentioned format yyyy/MM/dd in data type for date then it will display with time value in Text File Input/Output.
