Question DI Server in Community Edition

    Hi,

After searching for two days, I am yet to find any sort of answer on this so thought I'd try here.
Pentaho Enterprise has a new DI Server component (not Carte) but I cannot find any mention of this in the Community Edition on Sourceforge. The only server component there is the BA Server. I tried this but it does not seem to contain any DI components.

Is DI Server included in any way in CE?
If so, where can I find it and how do I use it? If not, is there a reason for this?

    Regards,
    Lior

    Edit:
The reason I ask this is that Carte does not have (or at least there is no documentation of) support for the new Data Services feature. This is something I would very much like to take advantage of but without server-side support it is useless.

Don't look for Enterprise Edition features in the Community Edition.
So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Is that an official answer? Because I can't find that stated or mentioned anywhere.

To my understanding, Enterprise "features" are about support and service agreements, and better packaging. They are not about features.
If what you're saying is correct, we wouldn't have the BA Server in CE either. Nor would we have, for that matter, Carte.

Of course not! You wouldn't ask the community for official answers, right?

I expect Pentaho to be able to provide you with the necessary information.

    That's plain wrong.

Thank you for that video, I will watch it later.

    As for your other points.

No, of course I wouldn't ask anyone here to issue an official statement. I was hoping for someone to point to an official statement from Pentaho. Or at least for someone to say they heard it before from Pentaho.

As this question relates to CE, their official statements clearly state they will not give me the time of day. Hence why I asked here.

The best you can hope for is that Matt Casters finds your thread and deems it worth to comment on it.
Never saw an official comparison chart / feature matrix myself.
But then, I didn't miss one, yet.

    Nor have I.

There definitely are features in EE that are not in CE.
DI Server used to be one of them. I have no idea if that changed in 6 or not.
    Analyzer is another EE feature.
