Default Date incorrect when stored in ORacle

I am reading a CSV file with dates in format m/dd/yyyy. An example date is 9/24/2010. When I store this date with PDI 5.2.0 into Oracle 11.2, the DB has the value 24-JAN-10. Can anyone tell me what is going on ?

Seems like your date conversion is wrong. Please post the snap shot of your transformation or, what all steps you are using in your transformations.

m denotes a minute value, M is for month.
Try M/dd/yyyy to convert the CSV field to a Kettle Date.
So long, and thanks for all the fish.
