Exclamation Oracle BLOB, CLOB AND XMLTYPE UNSUPPORTED ON 6.0.0 VERSION

    Hi,
I have downloaded the 6.0.0 versión and I'm trying to extract a BLOB a CLOB and XMLTYPE from an Oracle database but
    I'm getting this error:

Error determining value metadata from SQL resultset metadata For input string: "4294967295"

Does PDI suports those types of fields?

    thanks.

Yes it supports, long back i used BLOB a CLOB and XMLTYPE,xml casting in pdi. perfectly worked.

are you trying to load data from which step to which step, can you give clarity on this so that i will help you out.

    Hi Santhi,
Before all, thanks for your reply,
I'm using the TABLE INPUT step to extract the information from the database, I created the query and when I executed the preview of the data I got the error, this is on the BLOB and CLOB cases.
For the XMLTYPE case, I did not get an error but, when I execute the preview of the data all the xml fields of the records are being shown null.

I want to sent the information to an GET DATA FROM XML step.

    Thanks.

I am trying to recollect my old logic. I wil share more once i got it until Please try below
Can try with Table input(extracting your data) ---> Text File output (to load data)
    then
Text file input --> table output (if you are loading into Target database).

Please try LISTAGG function(oracle supported) if you are facing issues while retrieving data issues.

BLOB, CLOB, and XMLTYPE are not directly supported by PDI.
CLOB is usually converted by JDBC (transparently) to a large string array, which PDI supports.
If you cast XMLTYPE to a stringtype, then PDI can handle it, and can be passed to XML Input.

Hi gutlez thanks for your replay,
I'm convering the xmltype to a Clob using the function GetClobVal() in Oracle, but when I executed the script on the table input step I got this error:

Error determining value metadata from SQL resultset metadata
    2015/12/01 10:58:31 - Table input.0 - For input string: "4294967295"

Note that I said that CLOB is not natively supported either.

    Try it with the xmltype.getstringval()
But I'm not an Oracle expert, so don't know for sure that it works.
