    Default Set variable from Parameter

    Hello All,

    I am trying to initialize a variable at the start of a job using the parameter passed from Command Line. However, using the Set Variable step, I am unable to do it. Please suggest be a way to achieve this.

    Looking for Solution, I found a link (http://wiki.pentaho.com/display/EAI/...rameter+values) that will substitute variable references, however, I want to exercise control and hence, looking for an alternate solution.

    Regards,
    Purvesh.

    You should tell us the eaxct steps you made to introduce a variable into your job.
    We can tell you the mistakes you made, then.
    Set-Variables has no part in this.
    So long, and thanks for all the fish.

    Hi,

    I have attached the KTR and KJB I was trying. My objective is to set variables to be used in KTR's using parameters passed during job invocation.

    Purvesh.

    Variable names are case sensitive, so you can't access TEST_PARAM1 using ${test_param1}
    So long, and thanks for all the fish.
