Thread: S3 Output does not produce Output

Question S3 Output does not produce Output

I am trying to create a data file in S3 using the S3 Output step. When I run the transformation it does not show any error but I see 0 rows in the Output metric of the step as shown in the image below:

As you can see the Output is 0 on
    Code:
    [BASIC] S3 File Output - Finished processing (I=0, O=0, R=126555, W=126555, U=0, E=0)
There is no error! Table input is reading data and passing to S3 Output. S3 Output is reading data and writing data, but no Output!

Can someone help me to figure this out?

    Thanks in advance.

    Strange.

    What's your Kettle version number?
Is S3FO a terminal step in your transformation?
What happens to the output row counter if you connect S3FO to a Dummy step?
So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Have you ever successfully used S3-File-Output?
Is your Kettle version really top secret?

Maybe someone with an AWS account can comment on this.
If you don't receive further help in the forum you should consider to open a Jira case.

It works perfectly when I run from my Windows 10 machine. When upload to EC2 running Linux and run it, no file is generated.
No secret. Was my mistake. In both machines 6.1.0.1-169 is running.
