Thread: Pentaho Data Integration CE won't run in Windows 10 64-bit.

  1. #1

Default Pentaho Data Integration CE won't run in Windows 10 64-bit.

I instaleld with Community edition in my Windows 10 machine. Ensured I had a 64-bit JRE and created a user variable for Java_Home.

Run spoon.bat from CMD prompt did nothing but found that certain command were not recognised. What am I missing? Thank you in advance.

When running the spoon.bat the following error came up

"set-pentaho-env.bat" is not a recognised command.

Sorry that the screen shot was too small.

There must be a set-pentaho-env.bat in the root of your installation. So the same directory where also the spoon.bat is situated. When it is not there try to reinstall pdi because then your installation is not complete.

You are right - It isn't there. My files were extracted the latest download file from sourceforge. Will one from an older version work?

I am having the same problems in Windows 10. When I run Spoon.bat I get:

    C:\data-integration>spoon
    WARNING: Using java from path
    DEBUG: _PENTAHO_JAVA_HOME=C:\data-integration
    DEBUG: _PENTAHO_JAVA=java.exe
The system cannot find the path specified.
The system cannot find the path specified.

    C:\data-integration>start "Spoon" "java.exe" "-Xms1024m" "-Xmx2048m" "-XX:MaxPermSize=256m" "-Dhttps.protocols=TLSv1,TLSv1.1,TLSv1.2" "-Djava.library.path=libswt\win32" "-DKETTLE_HOME=" "-DKETTLE_REPOSITORY=" "-DKETTLE_USER=" "-DKETTLE_PASSWORD=" "-DKETTLE_PLUGIN_PACKAGES=" "-DKETTLE_LOG_SIZE_LIMIT=" "-DKETTLE_JNDI_ROOT=" -jar launcher\pentaho-application-launcher-7.0.0.0-25.jar -lib ..\libswt\win32

There is a set-pentaho-env.bat in the root of the installation.

I think you did not set the JAVA_HOME variable wich should be pointing to your java installation. Therefore pdi is looking for java in the c:\data-integration directory
