Change visualisation of dropdowns

Hi everybody,

I'm currently quite new with CTools. As for overall dashboard design I'm quite happy with my results so far. But one thing I would defenitely like to get a grip on (and something I can't seem to find on google) is how to change the look and feel of dropdown menu's.

This is clearly been edited and more beautifull.

Anyone got an idea how to accomplice this? CSS, javaScript,...

Customizing CSS is not entirely trivial.
Open the developer tools of your browser and browse through the html there.
If you are not using a retarded browser such as IE8, you should be able to add extra CSS rules that override the existing looks.

Then you'll need to add those extra css rules to your dashboard.
