Default Connection to MS SQL Express

I am trying to make a new data source connection to SQL Express, I have been advised that JNDI is probably my best option so I have been trying to edit the default file to allow this, without success.
This is the default connection for the 'SampleData' but I do not understand the constituent parts.
I am using a test database I have called 'testsql_2' and the default username of 'sa' I have also downloaded the recommended driver called 'sqljdbc4-2.0.jar' The sever name is 'ABC\SQLEXPRESS' and the instance name is 'SQLEXPRESS' I have enabled port 1433 in config manager but i still cannot connect to any database.
Can anybody advise me which parts of the instruction below that I need to alter please?

    SampleData/type=javax.sql.DataSource
    SampleData/driver=org.hsqldb.jdbcDriver
    SampleData/user=pentaho_user
    SampleData/password=password
    SampleData/url=jdbc:hsqldb:mem:SampleData

    Default

    Something like
    YourConnectionname/type=javax.sql.DataSource
    YourConnectionname/driver=com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver
    YourConnectionname/user=sa
    YourConnectionname/password=password
    YourConnectionname/url=jdbc:sqlserver://ABC\SQLEXPRESS:1433;DatabaseName=testsql_2
