    Default Setting Database Connection JDBC - error connecting to database

    Hi All,
    I am quite new to Pentaho Report Designer. I am trying to establish JDBC Data Source in the report designer using the existing .prpt file.
    Database has been created beforehand. Below is the error given:

    Error connecting to database [Nippon_Local_Conn] : org.pentaho.di.core.exception.KettleDatabaseException:
    Error occurred while trying to connect to the database


    Driver class 'com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver' could not be found, make sure the 'MS SQL Server (Native)' driver (jar file) is installed.

    You are missing a jar file for your database

    Go to where your installation is. You need to copy the MS SQL Server JDBC Driver into this folder (the first bit is dependent on what version of PRD you have, hence the x):

    prd-xe-x.x.x.x-xxx\report-designer\lib\jdbc


    It appears though that the PRPT you have is using a Pentaho Data Integration datasource. So just in case you should copy the same jar file for PDI.

    Go to where your PDI installation is and copy to this folder:

    pdi-xe-x.x.x.x-xxx\data-integration\lib

    I have already done accordingly:
    1) Download the Microsoft SQL server JDBC driver (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down....aspx?id=21599)
    2) Copy the sqljdbc4.jar(MSSQL jdbc dir) to pdi-ce-4.1.0-stable\data-integration\libext\JDBC (Pentaho dir)
    3) Copy sqljdbc_auth.dll (Microsoft SQL Server JDBC Driver 3.0\sqljdbc_3.0\enu\auth\x64) to pdi-ce-4.1.0-stable\data-integration\libswt\win64

    Prior to the above steps, I get different error messages: It does not support integrated authority. But I resolved that by adding sqljdbc_auth.dll into java\jre\bin folder.
    After establishing the database connection again, new error exception happened:
