    Default Connection to oracle

    Please Help

    I tried to connect to database with odbc. for driver i used oracle instant client and have set up the dsn.
    i tested the dsn with connection from office and it works, but with pentaho, i never get it right

    the error notification is as follow:

    Error connecting to database [pajak] rg.pentaho.di.core.exception.KettleDatabaseException:
    Error occurred while trying to connect to the database

    Driver class 'sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver' could not be found, make sure the 'Oracle' driver (jar file) is installed.

    Based on the error, seems like Oracle libraries are not found by Pentaho. Did you add the corresponding JARs to the lib folder?

    If you didn't do that, here is an example of what should be done (please adjust it based on your Oracle and JRE version you're using).

    Short answer: ODBC is no longer supported in any Java (This is not a PDI issue, but a Java issue)
    Oracle stopped shipping the ODBC bridge driver.

    Use "Native (JDBC)" instead

    thank you very much.

    it seem i missed three jdbc drivers, installing it in lib folder solve the problem
