Exclamation Error Connecting Spoon to MysQL

    Hi All,

I am using PDI Community Edition - 6.1 and MySQL server: 5.6.20 MySQL Community Server (GPL) and java version 1.8.0_121

I am simply using table input connecting to MySQL using JDBC driver and can preview data, now when I use Select values or Any other step which needs to get fields from table input, it fails and shows following error -

Unable to close prepared statement after determining SQL layout
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'OPTION SQL_SELECT_LIMIT=DEFAULT' at line 1

I believe it is because of the mismatched MySQL driver. I am using following drivers and kept them in \lib folder but none of them is working -
    MySQL-connector-java-5.1.44-bin
    MySQL-connector-java-5.1.43-bin
    mysql-connector-java-5.0.8-bin
    MySQL-connector-java-5.1.17
    MySQL-connector-java-5.1.25-bin

Can someone please help me here?

    Thanks,
    Sanket Kelkar

    Default

I did some more research and deleted all other jar files except the latest one which is - MySQL-connector-java-5.1.44-bin, restarted spoon and got this resolved!

Anyone with this problem can refer to above solution as it might help!
    TIA,
