Default Write To Log (job) - where this information is written?

    Hi,

what "Write To Log" is doing? I'd expect it writes some info to "logging" tab in Spoon (no, it does not put any info there) or it writes to exec result (like in this example: kitchen.bat /file:C:\PRD\runAll.kjb /level:Basic > C:\LOG\trans.log) No, it does not.
So go to pdi-ce-7.1.0.0-12\data-integration\logs to find there any info. No, nothing.

WHAT then it means "write to the log"?

All those places I mentioned above are logs....

Actually, you should find your log messages on the Spoon Logging tab.
Make sure the specified log level is covered by the run log level.
So long, and thanks for all the fish.

I agree with your question but only partially.

If you launch the job/transformation from a parent job, you can choose which file to log to in the log settings tab of that step.

However, if you launch the job/transformation directly (without parent job to specify log file), me too wonders where is this log file? I've also made a question about it here on the forum without replies
