Thread: Block many steps

    Default Block many steps

Hi, I would like to block the bottom of this model (marked with blue pen) before the top part finishes processing.
Where shall I put "block this step" in the model? Thanks!

Ok so let's say top part is Part A and bottom (in blue box) is Part B.

What part of Part B must wait until Part A has finished? Entire Part B? Put it in separate transformation and run it after Part A. Only the end of Part B? Put the wait-block before the steps in Part B that must wait for Part A.

The amounts of steps you have inside one transformation is painfully many. I suggest simplifying things and split things up into multiple transformations instead.

As sparkles suggested, try to create a job and split the logic into different transformations. That way you can wait till the previous transformation successfully finishes and then the next transformation with your Part B logic kicks off. Hope this helps.
