Default Problem using Copy rows to result and Parameters

    Hi,

I'm trying to follow this article to pass parameters into a transformation. My transformations are setup like so:

    Name: Capture1.PNG
Views: 1000
Size: 5.2 KB

Get Excel Report List looks like this:

    Name: Capture2.PNG
Views: 995
Size: 5.2 KB

Read Excel Report List File outputs two fields:

    Name: Capture3.PNG
Views: 993
Size: 4.6 KB

I setup Generate Excel Reports like so:

    Name: Capture4.PNG
Views: 1039
Size: 29.3 KB

    and

    Name: Capture5.PNG
Views: 1006
Size: 24.4 KB

The first step in Generate Excel Reports is a Get file names that uses the ${Folder} and ${Solution} parameters.

However, when I run the job, I get the following error:

ERROR (version 5.3.0.0-213, build 1 from 2015-02-02_12-17-08 by buildguy) : org.apache.commons.vfs.FileNotFolderException: Could not list the contents of "file:///C:/Users/foxburn/Documents/Reports/PDI/output/${Folder}/${Solution}/Excel" because it is not a folder.

So I think the parameters are not getting set for some reason.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks,

    Burnie

You have to define Folder and Solution as named parameters in the second transformation.
(you do it in the Parameters tab in the transformation setting window)
