publish report online for selected users

Hi Friends ,

I have created a report with pie chart having drop down parameter.
now I want to run it in mozzila firefox or google crome.
I am using open source pentaho report designer.
I don't want to buy enterprise edition or go with demo version as I am new learner in PRD and I need more than 1 month to learn this.
Is it possible to do so in community version.


I am getting this error when I am trying to connect "http://localhost:8080/pentaho/"


Unable to connect

Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at localhost:8080.

Hi Guys ,

Latest update .
I am installing pentaho-server-ce-7.0.0.0-25 in my system .
I am using "https://help.pentaho.com/Documentation/8.0/Setup/Installation/Manual" link to install it in my system.
fortunately I have oracle /mysql and postgres available in my system. so I will decide which one to map as my repository.
unfortunately I have to configure tomcat in my system along with other components.

I will update soon with the result .

not sure how to proceed further ....

Any one can comment on this?
Can we publish reports online and see live data change there as we change the parameter?
Of course I am talking about open source ...
