    Default Get values from properties and use variables

    Hi everybody,
    I'm very new to PDI, and I'm trying to learn how to use the various steps in the Transformations and jobs.

    My situation might be trivial for many of you, but I'm struggling passing the value of a variable through the Transformations inside my job, and the result TXT file only contains "NUMBER", I ask you please to help me, since I would like the number 7 to be written in the file.
    I actually couldn't find the specific situation all over the other posts, that's why I write it down here.

    I take the value of a property in a properties file, and I set a variable with this value, so far so good.
    My problem is that I can't get the variable value further on, to be written in the file.

    Attached my job and transformations.

    Teh property file only contains the couple: NUMBER=7.

    Thanks in advance for the help.

    Your GetVariables step doesn't specify which variable value do you want to get into your NUMBER field.

    On the Variable box simply specify the name of the variable ${VALUE}
    Be carefull, variable names are case sensitive

    Didn't think to use ${VALUE}, actually I was using ${NUMBER}.

    Thanks a lot!
    Much appreciated! (and very fast )
