    Default Generic match field to column

    Hi everybody,
    I'm implementing a job with PDI that reads elements (given in a properties file) from an XML file and writes the content into a DB table with the same name, and it currently works.

    The structure of the XML is like:
    <A>
    <A1>...</A1>
    <A2>...</A2>
    <A3>...</A3>
    </A>
    <B>
    <B1>...</B1>
    <B2>...</B2>
    <B3>...</B3>
    <B4>...</B4>
    </B>
    ...

    (A, B, ... are different tables in the DB, and A1, A2, A3 are the relative columns)

    What I've done so far is, in the last transformation, use an "Insert / Update" step to write the data in the Database table, specifying personally the match between the elements that I read from the XML, to the columns in the DB.

    Given the fact that they have the same exact name, is there a way to create a generic transformation to match automatically the XML elements to the DB columns, so that as input I just have to specify what table I'd like to write into (XML element to read)?

    Hope I've been descriptive enough.

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    You don't want to specify the field mapping for Insert/Update at design time?

    ETL-Metadata-Injection is for you, then.
    So long, and thanks for all the fish.
