    Default NoClassDefFoundError wrong name HelloWorld

    I have the bat file:

    set classpath=C:\jfreereport\source;C:\jfreereport\jfreereport-0.8.4_2-all.jar;C:\jfreereport\lib\jcommon-0.8.5.jar;C:\jfreereport\lib\bsh-1.2b6.jar;C:\jfreereport\lib\gnujaxp.jar;C:\jfreereport\lib\itext-1.00.jar;C:\jfreereport\lib\pixie-0.8.0.jar;C:\jfreereport\lib\poi-2.0-pre3-20030728.jar;.;

    I compiled with success the HelloWorld.java but i didn

    Hi,

    you forgot jfreereport-demo-0.8.4_3.jar, this one contains all the demo classes (including demo utility classes).

    I run it success now:
    java org.jfree.report.demo.HelloWorld
    or
    java org/jfree/report/demo/HelloWorld



    but, why this way? There are another way? I have to type org.jfree......blablabla

    Hi,

    class names are always specified with the dot.

    so call

    java org.jfree.report.demo.HelloWorld

    from your compiler output directory.

    But honestly, why not using one of those wounderfull IDEs (Eclipse, Netbeans, JBuilder, ..) - they make life (especially coding, compiling and running the programm) much easier.
