Sorry, not yet. it will be a month or so before i will be able to tackle this one.
There is just too much other stuff going on in the codebase. (300 commits this week alone!)

I'm sure that if you will be able to find a workaround for the time being.
For example using transformations in XML and transporting them from DEV-TST-UAT-PRD

A lot of stuff is linked to this subject and I want to do it right you see.
For example, you would want some sort of grouping of Jobs, Transformations, Scripts, Connections, etc into one manageable package.

    All the best,
    Matt

Will the fix be in the 2.x version or 3.x?

    Hi Rich,

We can do the basic functionality probably in the 2.3.x tree, but not in 2.3.0 (end of april, beginning of may).
3.0 will see some fundamental changes in the transformation and database connection engine so that will take some time to settle down. (ETA End of 2006)

I could turn out to be completely wrong of-course, and things could happen faster. The pace of development in Kettle is picking up lately.

    Matt
