Default call procedure AFTER a full loading

    Hello,

I'm testing Spoon and I'm stuck with this problem (newby?)

Can a 'call DB procedure' step be lauched only when a 'table output' step is completed ?

When I try , the DB procedure is called after every record creation.

    Thank you for you help

    Hi Thierry,

You can feed the DB Proc step with rows and it can be placed anywhere, before or after a table output.

    Hi Matt,

I noticed that DB Proc is called row by row . But what I would like to do is to launch a global update (by a procedure call ) to alter a table at the end of its loading.

Can spoon help to do that or should I better use chef.?

    Indeed, please use Chef.
    It has a SQL job entry where you can enter the SQL statements separated by ;

That should be able to solve your problem.
In case you need anything else, let me know OK?

    Cheers,
    Matt

    Thank you Matt,

Please tell me If i'm wrong , Spoon 'steps' works at record level only .

I tried chef to launch my procedure after the extract/load. It works perfectly.

Congrat for this set of tool, seems to be very helpful.
