    Default sequence generation from existing table of oracle

    Hi,
    am getting following error during sequence generation and updation of table during combination/lookup, where the sequence was obtained from db
    Error setting value #1 [ 000000001] on prepared statement (Integer)

    my table though is defned as :
    create table junk_table1 (
    jnk_fielda NUMBER (16,0) ,
    jnk_fieldb VARCHAR2 (64) ,
    jnk_fieldc VARCHAR2 (64) ,
    jnk_fieldd VARCHAR2 (255) ,
    PRIMARY KEY(jnk_fielda)
    );

    create sequence seq_jnk;

    where do i have to typecast?

    thanks in advance,
    sam

    Hi Sam,

    I probably don't understand the problem but...
    You can just specify the name of the Oracle sequence in the Combination Lookup step.

    Hope this helps,
    Matt

    Thanks for the reply Matt..

    Yes i was using combination look up only

    actually the issue could be due to multiple factors , i have changed odbc to jdbc and gave exact port number(which i have not mentioned) before but have not changed the sequence generation from table.

    it workd now..thanks
    sam
