    Default db2 connection failing after upgrade to oracle-10g

    Hi,
    i have a transformation that worked absolutely fine with oracle9i as db.
    after i installed 10g and trying to connect t db , the connectio itself fails with following error in spoon.am able to view and operate the db through SQL PLUS..


    any ideas ?

    These are my connection specific details for DHCP(local ethernet adapter DNS suffix)
    Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :

    Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :

    SQL Plus uses OCI to connect to the database.

    This is not a Kettle issue, but do a:

    tnsping ORCL (replace ORCL with the TNS name of the database)

    then use those details in the Kettle connection: hostname, port, etc.

    Try to ping to the hostname specified.

    Other suggestions are to be found in this very forum.

    Thanks Matt..yes it was actually issue with oracle listener not configured correctly.thanks for directing towards solution.
