Default Any thoughts of using this

    Hi Matt

I recently tried certain tests and found that performance wise many things are better than certain common java components, yet to try other features of it. Please give your view and suggestion.

    The url is as follows

    http://javolution.org/

    Thanks & Regards
    Shibu.

    Hi Shibu,

I have known about Javolution for some time because of Jean-Marie Dautelle
(Javolution project owner) (many) messages on Javalobby.
Up until recently I would not have really looked at those libraries for the
simple reason that they deviate from the standard.
One reason is also that the performance gains as displayed on the link you
sent us, is highly debated on Javalobby.

At the moment, what we are doing is actually building a few new classes of
    our own.
For example, you must have read about the new HashIndex we introduced in the
StreamLookup step. At least now we know what we bring into the project, we
understand how and why it works better.
I'm not sure that blindly throwing libraries like Javolution is the answer
to all of our memory/performance questions.

However... if it scratches an itch, why not :-)

    All the best,

    Matt
