Default Resultset returned from another action sequence won't pass to 2nd action sequence

I'm sure this is a newbie question but I can't get it to work.

I have a main action sequence that calls an action sequence to generate a resultset of 1 record. This is the "account lookup" action sequence. It works fine and I can output the results (as the main action sequence output). The output destination for it's resultset is "runtime".

From the main action sequence, I want to pass the resultset of 1 record returned from the "account lookup" action sequence to a second action sequence that finds transactions related to the account specified in the "result set".

I'm keeping all parm names the same and input source on the second action sequence matches output destination from the first action sequence (runtime) but the second action sequence never gets the resultset (and uses default values).

Is there something obvious I'm missing?

    Thanks,

    Jay

I figured out the problem... the SQL query had the checkbox 'keep connection open' checked.

I found a tech doc that said if you don't check that box then the RS is transferred to an in-memory variable but if you check that box then the rs is pulled directly from the SQL connection which is closed at the end of the xaction, rendering the value inaccessible at the end of the xaction. This box is left checked only if you have a large resultset from the sql query but you have to realize that the data isn't available after the xaction is completed (in cases with multiple xactions working a single process).

Bottom line - after unchecking that box it worked.
