    Default DB2 - double to bigint?

    Hi,

    we access our DB2 database with native JDBC within kettle. One field has a type "double". Showing the output fields of the table input shows that this field is now a "number" with length "15" and precision "-". This is not correct. A couple of
    steps later, in our table output to the postgres database, the SQL script always want to do this:

    ALTER TABLE FactCustomerOrderPosition DROP COLUMN DISCOUNT
    ;
    ALTER TABLE FactCustomerOrderPosition ADD COLUMN DISCOUNT BIGINT
    ;

    The field in the database is already (the incorrect) BIGINT. Is this a bug? All other field types are working.

    It's probably the JDBC driver that delivers us the wrong information, please file a bug report for this with a way to reproduce the issue.
    Then we can look into it.

    Please note that you can modify any generated SQL at any given time.

    All the best,

    Matt

    I filled bug # 5712 with this information. Maybe an update of db2jcc.jar helps with this issue. I coudn't found a free download for this jar, so i couldn't tried it myself.
