Default Bug on Kettle when using Windows variables???

    Hello,

I guess that found a bug on kettle.
Using the kettle frontend we can use all enviroments variables, but it guess that we're on unix like enviroments because the variable syntax is "${variable_name}".
So if you use enviroments variables to set the directory that the transformations are and if you try run the transformation by kitchen on windows enviroment, an errors occurs, because it can't change the variables by their values. On windows the variable systax is "%variable%".

I think that the problem can be solved putting one or 2 "if's" on Kitchen.java file, checking if the system is windows and if so, changing "${" for "%" and the final "}" for another "%".

Sorry for my poor english, I'm just trying to help the kettle team

I doubt it... the ${} and %% are substituted entirely in java and we do both on all environments.

I do know there's something else wrong with kitchen/pan using variables in 2.5

You can always log a bug tracker at http://kettle.javaforge.com (for now)

    Regards,
    Sven
