Default How to do a special kind of denormalisation?

    Hi

I have the following input stream (5 rows, three fields)

    Key | BecomesNewField | Value
    -----------------------------------------
    1 | NewFieldA | one42
    1 | NewFieldB | one43
    1 | NewFieldC | one44
    2 | NewFieldA | two45
    2 | NewFieldB | two46

I would like to transform this into two rows, 4 fields as follows:

    Key | NewFieldA | NewFieldB | NewFieldC
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
    1 | one42 | one43 | one44
    2 | two45 | two46 | someDefaultValue

So basically, I like to create new fields with their name coming from the content of existing fields. Is this somehow possible?

    Thanks,
    Tobias

Cool At first blush, this appears to be similar to yours...

I have yet to fix my situation (moved on to other project aspects) but will revisit it either using PDI or with SQL, but thought you'd like to see the suggestions my somewhat similar post garnered.

    Hope their suggestions help you.
