Default Working with Remedy ODBC Driver 4.3

    Hi,

I am working with Remedy ODBC Driver 4.3 and getting follwoing error:

Unable to retrieve database information because of an error
Error getting views from schema []
    Column not found

    Here is my steps:
    1) Created one System DSN using Remedy ODBC Driver 4.3
    2) Goto pentaho-kettle and created repository.
    3) Created one job
    4) Under this jon, i created new database connection using above created System DSN (Remedy ODBC Driver 4.3). It gets connected but when i try to explore that connection, it gives me above mentioned error.

Can anybody please help me to resolve this problem?

access rights problems or a screwy ODBC driver... and looking at the internet for ODBC problems with BMC Remedy it is probably the latter.

I created a BMC "Remedy" database connection type in version 3.0 last week.
Is this the one you used to test these things?

In that case we should probably simply disable view support for it.

I have no idea really, never used it myself. It's just an ODBC driver that is supplied by BMC. It needed certain settings to work so we created a separate Kettle driver for it.

    Default BMC Remedy AR Driver

We have the same issue. We need to integrate with BMC Remedy, using their supplied AR Drivers. The driver appears to not allow discovery or viewing of table data. Data has to be retrieved using a SQL query directly against the tables.

To make the integration work, we will need to disable the initial view and provide the SQL query. How can that be done?

PS. The Remedy AR driver can be downloaded from the BMC website if you have an account.
