    Default SQL Server - Bug? v 2.5.1

When using the schema name the Database related steps including the connection details append an additional period (See query below)

    SELECT TOP 1 * FROM DBNAME..TABLE

This causes an error. This works fine if you remove the schema name.

In 2.5.2 there's a new tab in the database dialog specific to SQL ServerL. The ".." is required for some people in a specific SQL Server setup.

I've got the same error but in the thread there is no answer. How can I avoid this error? I tried to edit the connection feature-list but the old entry for schema/table combination ("..") is still visible.

Can you give me further help?

    Best regards,

    Carsten.

Carsten, we fixed another bug related to the MS ".." disaster. Can you try this update: http://www.kettle.be/dloads/kettle.jar
Replace the kettle.jar in your lib/ directory. This is version 2.5.2 preview (revision 5331).

    Keep us in the loop!
    Thanks,

    Matt

    Hi Matt,

Thanks for the new JAR-File. I replaced it and found a new tab "SQL Server" in the connection dialog with the checkbox "use .. " . Though I did n't check it the SQL contains still the ..

    The same error occurs.
