Default How to show multiple measures

    Hi,

I have created a cube with hypersonic data on table Quadrant_Actuals.
As measures i selected Actual,Budget, Variance.
    As Dimensions i selected Region,Department,Positiontitile.
The cube is created and published successfully.
When i View the cube only Actual is showing as measure what about Budget and Varinace.
I am attaching my xml file for reference.
    How to solve this?

    Regards,
    sriman.

    Hi,

    Here is my MDX query.
select NON EMPTY {[Measures].[ACTUAL]} ON COLUMNS,
NON EMPTY {([Region.Region].[All region], [Department.Department].[All department], [Position.Position].[All position])} ON ROWS
    from [Cube5]

    Try this :

select NON EMPTY {[Measures].[ACTUAL],[Measures].[BUDGET],[Measures].[VARIANCE]} ON COLUMNS,
NON EMPTY {([Region.Region].[All region], [Department.Department].[All department], [Position.Position].[All position])} ON ROWS
    from [Cube5]

    Hi,

I tried as you said, it's working fine. But is the need to edit the MDX query? i already selected the other two measures (Budget, Variance) while designing the CUBE.

    Hi,

The design of the cube and the MDX are two different but complementary things : as an image, I would say the design of the cube is similar to the design of your database (description of the tables, fields, etc...) and the MDX is similar to the SQL query you can make on your database.

This is why when creating or designing a cube, you should indicate all dimensions and measures possible and when you query your cube through a MDX, you indicate all or just a part of your dimensions and measures.

Hope it can help as I am not a native english speaker
