Thread: PDI 3.0.0-M2 Modified Java Script and Output Fields

  1. #1

Default PDI 3.0.0-M2 Modified Java Script and Output Fields

We try to convert our transformations from PDI 2.5.1 to PDI 3.0.0-M2.

In some transformations, we use a Modified JavaScript, which set's new values for some string fields

In 2.5.1. we use the "fieldname.setValue(var)" function. In PDI 3.0.0-M2 we would like to deactivate the compatibility mode, so the "setValue" method is not available.

But on the left hand side of the Modified JavaScript dialog i just see this Method to set values for the output fields. #

Is it a bug? I would expect something like "setString" or anything like that.

When I try to test the scrupt with "setValue" or "setString" I get an error "TypeError: cannot find function setString" or "TypeError: cannot find function setValue".

When you switch compatibility off, you're using the real data (so also no setString)... for the left hand tab a bug was opened some while ago: http://jira.pentaho.org/browse/PDI-172

    For javascript migration itself: http://wiki.pentaho.org/display/EAI/...2.5.x+to+3.0.0
