And then make sure to give that username/password the needed access in MySQL.
Although by now I could probably hack it directly into the MySQL system tables, I typically use the "MySQL Administrator" to do that. :-)

And always remember to flush privileges after adding a new user. Oh, the joy of MySQL.

    Default Thanks!!!

    Nice to have help

I really don't know what happend - but the problem had something to do with user/password

I changed root password and suddenly it works... or something

After that problem - input data from mysql and send it to another mysql database worked well... can reccommend also people not so 'guru' like me..

Next thing for me is to try mondrian.

    We'll see on that forum

Of course, that is only required if you muck around with the privilege tables directly instead of using "GRANT" commands like the manual suggests

And yet of course, providing several different ways to achieve something instead of just one, and then directing the user to the manual to make his pick, doesn't really help.

    Huh?

So was I (trying to help, not being a lead developer). Did I write anything offensive?
