Default An weird problem of generic database

    Hi,

I am using Kettle 3.0 M2 and 2.4 for performance testing against MSSQL server, comparing with SSIS and BO ETL. I found that the jTDS driver may be the bottleneck, so I want to try other JDBC driver, such as inet and microsoft version, for better performance.

I put the inet and M$ JDBC driver under the $KETTLE_HOME\libext\JDBC. There is no need to put other dll files under $KETTLE_HOME\libswt\win32. Then, I used generice database to connect to DB( see "Performance Test.ktr". The DB configurations for this test are "src_sql", "dst_sql" and "src_merlina"). I press the "Test" button in connection information dialog, Kettle says "OK". Then, I press the "Explore" button in the same dialog, another dialog shows. But I cannot preview data from any table. Also, when I run the tranformation, it didn't do anything.(see run.jpg)

Is there something wrong with my configuration? Somebody please help me.

    Auxiliary information:
    1. JDK - 1.6.0
    2. inet - 7.0.2 trial version
    3. microsoft - sqljdbc1.1.jar
    4. sqlserver - 2000

    Sincerely,

    Andy

Why aren't you using "MS SQL Server" (instead of "Generic database") ?
